Corrosion byproducts, formation fines, scales, hydrates, water holdups, and paraffin depositions can all disrupt flow, leading to reduced throughput and increased horsepower demand. Jacam Catalyst's dewatering process has proven successful at removing stagnant liquids from pipelines and lowering line pressures in non-piggable pipelines, thus increasing throughput.

Our patented binary corrosion inhibitor, SuperCorr® PT, is highly effective at treating internal pipeline corrosion. SuperCorr® PT is applied to pipelines with pigs and forms a tenacious net-like microfilm barrier that becomes part of the metal's matrix and lasts up to four times as long as traditional amine inhibitors. The SuperCorr® PT product formulation provides a more persistent film than conventional amine inhibitors, offering unexcelled corrosion protection in sweet or sour gas environments and hydrocarbon liquid pipelines.

PDW 4031 is a water-soluble surfactant blend that can be utilized to dewater gas pipelines. The product is applied via a slug batch process. As the PDW 4031 water mixture is pumped into the pipeline, it creates a moderately stable foam, resulting in a slug flow pattern that initially begins to unload water from the pipeline. The specially formulated PDW 4031 foam exhibits a half-life that collapses before causing excessive back pressure, then foams again at any point of inflection along the line.

As water is removed, the gas flow area of the pipe increases, resulting in higher gas velocity. At velocities above 5-7 ft/sec, wavy stratified or slug flow characteristics prevail, allowing the PDW 4031 to foam repeatedly and continue dewatering the pipeline until dilution below the active foaming concentration occurs.
